POPULAR MATERIALS

As you embark on a home improvement project, you might be surprised to learn how many types of tile there are. While there are some popular standard tiles not every tile works for every job. At CD Tile Installations can help you choose the right tile for your project for the optimal aesthetic and functional results.

CERAMIC TILE

Ceramic tile is the most popular type because of its durability and suitability for many different applications. It's a tile that can be found in nearly any room in the house. Ceramic tile is easy to clean and comes in a variety of finishes, textures and glazes.

Porcelain tile

Porcelain is another top choice for homes and businesses. This low maintenance tile can come in a variety of faux finishes like brick, wood, and natural stone. Its strength, durability, and beauty make it a better product over the standard ceramic tile. As durable and versatile as porcelain is, it requires expert installation. That's something you can count on from the team at CD Tile Installations.

GLASS TILE

Glass tile is a stain-resistant option for those who want to add some flair to a kitchen or bath. Although typically glass tiles are not used for flooring, they are a great choice for a backsplash, around a fireplace, shower walls, table tops and desks.

cement TILES

If you want an old school look to your home or business consider cement tiles. These tiles come in show-stopping patterns and colors. However, they are best suited for a low traffic room and require routine maintenace.

Marble tile

Marble tile adds a high level of elegance to a room. Each piece is a one of a kind work of art that's best used in showers, backsplashes, and columns.

mosaic tile

Mosaic tile is any combination of tile sizes, colors, shapes and/or materials, set in a sheet for easy installation. They can be ceramic, porcelain, glass, or natural stone, usually on a mesh-mounted sheet. This stylish option can be used for large spaces like a floor, or for accents like a backsplash or shower wall insert.

granite countertops

Granite and other natural stone products are typically considered luxury, or “high end” products. One of the biggest benefits of using a natural stone is its unique and beautiful appearance. Granite is highly scratch-resistant, and is typically resistant to etching caused by acidic substances. Hot pots and pans can also be placed directly on granite without fear of burning the surface. This is why granite is perfect for kitchen countertops.
